Serving those who served us.
Our veterans have an incredible amount of stress placed on their bodies. The increased physical demands placed on those who serve in the military and trauma from everyday activities as a member of the armed forces often lead to injury and chronic pain. In the case of some of our veterans, this pain can interfere with normal function and the ability to perform daily activities.
Chronic pain in our veterans - and the opioid painkillers often prescribed to treat it - has become a national crisis. The use of opioids among active duty military personnel and veterans has risen exponentially. The VA is making it a priority to reduce the use of these potentially addictive medications, instituting regulations requiring treatment for the root cause of pain, not just prescribing more painkillers.
Chiropractic care can be a major help in this effort. The conservative care provided by chiropractors perfectly complements the VA's efforts to deal with this serious crisis. Chiropractors practice a non-pharmacological, non-surgical approach that provides safe, effective pain control for the neuromusculoskeletal conditions for which the provide care.
